Topics covered in this level are aligned with Common Core Standards covered in Grade 3 and Grade 4. The course begins by covering the Addition and Subtraction by stacking, Addition with re-grouping, Subtraction with borrowing. Further Multiplication with carrying and Long Division are introduced. In the second semester we transition into fractions and operations with fractions, decimals and relationship between decimals and fractions. Along with these core concepts, we cover additional topics including geometry and 2-D shapes, computing Perimeter and Area of shapes, Measurements, Roman Numerals, and Elapsed Time. Additionally, the program is enriched with word problems aimed at developing critical thinking and logic. are emphasized throughout the course. By the time students complete the course they will be fully prepared to succeed in Grade 4 Mathematics.
