No. Beginner Python starts from zero. If your child can type, they can start today: lesson 1 is open to everyone, and a free account opens the rest of Beginner Python.
Intermediate Python and Python4Physics together are twelve lessons. Lessons open one after the other: finish one, mark it done, and the next opens. Both courses are open from the first day, so a student can start with either. Each lesson runs in the browser, with code the student edits and runs.
Nothing changes. Lessons open as they are finished, not with the calendar, so a fast student can finish a course in two lessons and go straight on to the next, and a slower one takes the months they need.
Yes, at any time. The plan renews automatically each month (or each year) through PayPal. Turn off auto-renew in the student portal or in your PayPal account and nothing more is charged; the courses stay open until the end of the period you paid for. If you come back later, you continue from the lesson you reached.
Beginner Python suits grade 4 and up, Intermediate Python grades 7 to 11, and Python4Physics grade 7 and up, especially students taking or about to take physics.
A laptop or desktop with a current browser and an internet connection. Nothing is installed; all the code runs in the browser. A tablet works for reading but not for typing code.
Yes. Avatar's live coding classes run eight lessons in small live online groups. They are a separate program, on the Coding Classes page.
